A new building has recently hit the market in New York's Chelsea neighborhood that caught my eye. +ART is the name of the recently converted artist lofts at 540 W 28th St. The home page of the building's website describes it like this, "This is where industrial luxury reigns. Enter Bohemia-Nouveau. Built in deference to the artistic narrative of Chelsea’s most important artists, architects, and poets, +aRt fuels the life you should be living in New York’s most modern neighborhood." Here here.
Having always been a fan of the open space and high ceilings of lofts in general, this one appeals to me because of it's seamless mix of old and new. It weaves in tradition of the building with updated modern designer finishes throughout in a cool artist neighborhood. The main thing it also seems to have is a ton of windows allowing natural light to flood into the 91 residences. The units range from 445 sq. ft studios for $520,000 to Penthouses that are 1,570 sq. ft for $2,300,000. New Yorkers enjoy.
