Interesting Dichotomy In Downtown LA This Past Weekend
With the Sky Lofts building in the background, and amongst many other slick new luxury lofts for sale or lease signs, these protestors were out in support of the fight over Labor issues in Wisconsin. They were out trying to protect the "American Dream" and "Workers Rights," while I was out showing high end lofts to new client's. I was trying to get to a showing, but traffic wasn't moving at all, so I parked in a lot and walked to the building. I had my camera on me, so was able to get some shots of the protest, as I passed straight through it. It was an interesting dichotomy and experience to say the least...
Downtown Los Angeles
I recently visited a friend, who was staying in a loft downtown, and took some pictures to show both the downtown skyline, as well as the character and details that was put into the older buildings. They sure don't make them like they used to right? It is great to see a new area of Los Angeles developing with new residential, retail, and goods & service. It's been discussed for so long, that it is nice to finally see the vision coming to fruition.

Recent Trip to new LA Live; Downtown LA
The new LA Live complex sure came with a lot of hype and investment dollars, and has further assisted with downtown Los Angeles' evolution and growth. It is a great hub with many restaurants, concert theaters, Staples Center, and more. It is massive, and done with a nod to modern architecture. Rising high over it is the new Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences. If you have not visited downtown in awhile and think there is not a good reason to go down there, this complex and it's goods and services may change your mind.
