I had the pleasure of seeing this property in the hills of Studio City this past week, and I must say I really really liked it. The owner, who I met with and was great, did a fantastic job on the remodeling of the property and was able to create a nice mix of traditional and modern finishes that will appeal to a wide variety of potential buyers. They took what was a nice but dated property in a great location on a large lot and turned it into a special trophy property. The base of the home is the 8' wide white oak flooring, open spaces, and disappearing walls of glass (a personal favorite of mine). The chef's kitchen has been updated with "marble counters, custom-milled high-end floor to ceiling cabinetry, farmhouse sinks, and all top of the line appliances(Thermador, La Cornufe, Bosh)." The landscaping was clearly professionally done from the water feature in the entryway to the multiple private patios off of the bedrooms to the lush backyard with pool, fire pit, and plenty of green grass to run on. This property has great valley views, and is simply a must see if you are looking for a home in this price range.

Studio City Mid-Century Modern S of the Blvd Foreclosure Opportunity

Take a look at this nice foreclosure opportunity in a prime Studio City location, south of Ventura Blvd. I have shown this house to a couple of buyer's, and I must say I really like it. I am actually surprised that it has not sold yet, even though it has only been on the market less than 1 month. It is a large, four bedroom, mid-century modern that sold at the height of the market for $1.3M. It is tough to find a house this size with a pool, great floor plan, and a decent level of finishes for under a million, which is why I think this is a good one. The backyard is simply an entertainer's paradise with it's fire pit, spa, and huge deep private pool. If you want to be south of the blvd in Studio City in a good sized home with a pool and appreciate mid-century style, this is it without question. I think long term it is a bit of a deal too.

Mid-Century Modern On Great Studio City Street

I have seen this home previously, as it has floated on and off the market for a year or so, and in fact was listed as high as $2,499,000 in April of 2010. I am not sure it is a $2.5M home; however, at almost $1M less I think it is definitely worth talking about. Lying in a prime view street in the Wrightwood Estates, this designer owned mid-century home has been updated with clean lines and superior finishes throughout. I wish there were more interior shots available, but the living room and kitchen look great, and I love the way the walls of glass disappear and lead out to the stunning pool and views. Studio City Mediterranean Foreclosure Opportunity

This property, judging from the pictures, does not look like the standard run down state that most foreclosure properties are in. This one looks well upgraded, including a total Viking kitchen, rich hardwood flooring, and nice upgraded bathrooms.
